Arquella Hargrove

Arquella Hargrove has been “dubbed” a change agent based on her work supporting both established organizations and entrepreneurial ventures advising them through stages of creation, growth, and stabilization. She brings a successful 25-year track record of creating and implementing productivity inducing practices through the application of strategic planning and organization development in both the public and private sector.

Hargrove is a sought-after facilitator, business consultant, speaker, and coach dedicated to the transformative and sustainable results of business leaders.

As a moderator and frequent panel speaker in the areas of diversity, women in leadership, and social capital, she is honored to contribute to publications such as Workforce Magazine and Girl Boss Blog. A core value that Hargrove promises to bring to her clients and partners is, collaboration, by bringing the right knowledge and the right people, to the same table.

After collaborating for more than a decade to support well over 100 organizations, as an independent consultant, Hargrove developed Epic Collaborative Advisors (EPIC) in 2016. EPIC is a Boutique Consulting Firm that provides, Expert Strategic Planning, Project Management, Workforce Development Training and Coaching Solutions with nationwide aptitudes. The heart of EPIC includes a diverse team of advisors who are dedicated to strengthening communities. While EPIC was just started in 2016, several clients from past engagements have already collaborated with the new project to take advantage of EPIC’s solutions, people, and delivery.

City of Houston (through various departments), Waste Management, Interise Streetwise MBA, Houston Independent School District, Metropolitan Transit Authority, Aramco Services, and Greater Houston Black Chamber are just a few of  the companies Hargrove partners with. One of Hargrove’s most proud engagements is serving as the Facilitator and Coach for the City of Houston’s Build-Up Houston Program; a 7-month capacity building program for small businesses in Construction. Hargrove is known for her ability to help organizations and business leaders build stronger, more effective teams and companies. Hargrove is considered to be a pioneer in Leadership Development and has authored a chapter on the topic in, Coaching Perspectives.

Hargrove holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Ottawa University and an Executive MBA from Texas Woman’s University. Hargrove has multiple certifications in Personality Behavioral Assessments (Birkman, DISC, MBTI, Insights, and Personalysis) master coaching, leadership development, conflict resolution, mediation, and Unconscious Bias. Hargrove is also a graduate of United Way of Greater Houston Class XXVII Project Blueprint and Leadership Houston Class XXX and a member of Greater Houston Black Chamber, Greater Houston Partnership’s Women Business Alliance and Jack and Jill of America’s Greater Channel Chapter.

Hargrove is an adjunct instructor at University of Houston-Downtown, LoneStar Community College, and a long-time facilitator for the University of Houston’s School of Public Affairs/Policy – Certified Public Manager Program.

Hargrove has been actively involved in the community serving as the past Board Chair of both nonprofit organizations, Passages for Women and The Bridge over Troubled Water. She also serves as the Board Secretary for Community Family Centers. Her service in various capacities of leadership in professional organizations, include:
