Christina A. Jones

Christina A Jones, VP HR Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Shell USA, Inc. will soon celebrate her 20th year and quite the global HR career across a vast array of businesses. As an HR Generalist in the US, she supported a variety of businesses in both Houston and in California. She also broadened her skillset outside HR with a Lean Practitioner certification, building a three-year culture journey for the former Shell Martinez Refinery. She then returned to HR and moved her family to Muscat, Oman, to assist Shell’s joint venture, Petroleum Development Oman, in technical recruitment. During this time, she developed local capabilities within her team, including the development of an Omani successor. Her family’s next adventure was in The Hague, The Netherlands where Christina worked in Joint Venture Excellence, including roles in Talent and HR Business Partnership for Shell’s joint venture in Brunei. After her time abroad, Mrs. Jones moved back to the United States as VP HR Consultancy for Shell’s commercial businesses before her current assignment.

Christina finds great purpose in supporting Shell’s ambition to become one of the most diverse and inclusive organizations in the world. “Be the Change You Wish to See” is a motto she works to embody daily. This is evident in her leadership in DE&I for Shell USA as an active ally and advocate. She served as an influential voice in Shell’s signing of the Human Rights Campaign Business Statement on Anti-LGBTQ State Legislation in 2022, speaks at key DEI partnership events nation-wide and is often found wearing the well-known Shell branded yellow volunteer shirt, serving our local community in numerous outreach activities.

This motto equally extends to her personal life. Christina, her husband, Stacy, and her son, Shelby 16 years old have spent over 7 years in the adoption process of their daughter from Haiti. They have organized fundraisers and clothing drives worldwide to provide for the orphanage and when safe, visit and help with facility improvement projects. Having survived a critical illness at a young age, Christina spent many years as a patient of the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (SRHC) and graduated with a scholarship, allowing her to afford college. Mr. & Mrs. Jones ensure they pay it forward to today’s aspiring students through the SHRC Legacy Scholarship Program.

Mrs. Jones earned her BS in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and an MS in Human Resource Management both from Texas A&M University.
