Adaeze Egesi, Md, Mba, Faad was born and raised in Houston, Tx by her immigrant Nigerian parents. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended the internationally recognized Baylor College of Medicine for her medical education, where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Egesi completed her internship and residency in dermatology at the University of Cincinnati and served there as a chief resident. Upon completion, she became a board-certified dermatologist and the first physician in her family.

Living in Ohio afforded her the pleasure of the breathtaking beauty of the four seasons in their climate and how to survive the winter, among other things.

In 2018, she opened the first female-owned Nigerian dermatology practice, outside of Houston in the small town of Humble to give back to her community. Her practice offers the latest lasers and cosmetic treatment options. She prides herself in treating all skin colors and skin types with a special focus on skin of color.

Dr. Egesi’s “Patient First” philosophy in medicine motivates her to deliver superior service in her pursuit to improve the quality of life of her patients and create a pleasant experience with every encounter. She and her team, which includes another board-certified dermatologist and a nurse practitioner, provide comprehensive dermatological services to the community.

Dr. Egesi is an expert in all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with special interest and advanced skill in the treatment of alopecia (hair loss) and complex dermatological cases. Given her expertise in alopecia, her practice has the latest treatments for hair loss including stem cell treatments such as platelet rich plasma and exosomes. Her deep appreciation for the challenges of eruptions that can affect the skin, and its various presentations, makes Dr. Egesi a caring physician who is widely admired by peers and patients alike.

In her free time, Dr. Egesi enjoys traveling with her family and partaking in couple trips with her husband, especially to the Caribbean. When not working or traveling, she enjoys watching her favorite reality television shows. She believes that maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential, particularly in the demanding medical field.

Dr. Egesi is dedicated to mentoring future medical professionals and welcomes students to shadow her in her clinic. She routinely gives back by providing free skin cancer screenings for the community. In the future, she hopes to expand her dermatological services to more of the greater Houston area.
