Ana Paula Do Nascimento

Ana Paula Do Nascimento was appointed as the Consulate General for the Republic of Angola in 2019. The Angolan Consulate Office covers nine US States, stretching from the Southeastern through the Southwestern United States, including Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California.

She holds a degree in Educational Sciences and Linguistics in English from ISCED at Agostinho Neto University. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management from Luanda Consulting Team Portugal.

Her professional accomplishments include:

  • Integrated as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central Organ as a General and Administrative Technician with a Second-Class Superior Technician Category
  • Joined the National Public Competition for admission to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Career in 2007, being admitted as Third Secretary
  • Served in 2007 as Head of the Department of Human Resources Management for Staff Training and Performance Evaluation
  • Served in 2017 as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Interim Director of Human Resources
  • Promoted (during her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) into the categories of Third, Second, and First Secretary, currently holding the diplomatic category of Counselor

Her previous experience includes working as a secondary school teacher and at the Translation Office for the SADCC Technical and Administrative Unit.

Her mother tongue is Portuguese, and she possesses a fluent knowledge of French and English with competency in Serbo-Croat, Spanish, and Russian.

She is married to Lourenco Saturnino Do Nascimento.
