Diana Pérez Gomez is a talented trial and employment law shareholder in the Houston office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka, where she was elected by her fellow shareholders to serve on the firm’s Board of Directors, and also serves as national co-chair for the firm’s labor and employment practice, and as national chair of the Women in the Law Committee and the Pro Bono Committee.

Diana Pérez Gomez’s accomplished career includes government service for the White House in Washington, D.C., for the City of Houston and Harris County, and she has been recognized, among other honors, as a Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business as an Outstanding Leader in Law, Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women, and repeatedly as a U.S. News Best Lawyer in America.

Diana Pérez Gomez was also named to the Texas Super Lawyers list by Super Lawyers® consecutively every year since 2013 and was among the Texas Super Lawyers 2020 Top Women. She has been selected as a Top Lawyer by Houstonia Magazine; received the Latina Lawyer Under 40 Award from the Mexican American Bar Association of Texas Foundation; and is a recipient of the Houston Bar Association’s and the Hispanic Bar Associations’ President’s Awards for multiple years. In 2009, she was recognized as a “Local Hero” by Houston Lawyer Magazine for her work as a Presidential Appointee in the Department of Education. She is the Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Foundation.

Diana Pérez Gomez is a former President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and a former board member of the Mexican-American Bar Association of Houston. She has demonstrated her commitment to upholding the rule of law and the administration of justice in Harris County by chairing numerous Houston Bar Association committees, including the Law and the Media Committee, the HBA Dispute Resolution Committee, the Houston Lawyer Referral Service, the Administration of Justice Committee for the Criminal District/Appellate Bench Bar Conference, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, and the Continuing Legal Education Committee.

In 2014, Diana Pérez Gomez was elected to the Board of Directors of the Houston Bar Association and in 2022, the HBA’s over 10,000 members elected Diana to serve as President where Diana will serve as the first Latina president since the organization was established in 1870.

Diana holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Texas A&M University and received her law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
