Dr. Jacque Colbert

Globally recognized as “The Transformationist,” Dr. Jacque Colbert is a visionary leader. Her extraordinary journey embodies a profound commitment to service, purpose, and the limitless potential of the human spirit.

Born in Guyana, Dr. Colbert’s early life as the third of eight children in Brooklyn, New York, instilled in her a deep sense of gratitude, resourcefulness, and community. These foundational experiences continue to ground her, fueling an unyielding drive to live fully, honor her past, and boldly shape a brighter future for all.

Dr. Colbert embarked on a career in the United States Army, where she served for over four years. Her military service instilled a disciplined approach to problem-solving, an unwavering commitment to team excellence, and the strategic foresight that would define her subsequent corporate career.

With over three decades of unparalleled experience, Dr. Colbert has become a trusted voice in global Human Resources leadership, leaving an indelible mark at industry giants such as Google, VMware, Dell, and ConocoPhillips. Her strategic and inspirational leadership has been instrumental in enhancing organizational capabilities, fostering innovation, and strengthening the overall cultural fabric by implementing scalable processes, optimizing talent strategies, and ensuring a balanced, impactful approach to business partnerships. As Senior Managing Director of Human Resources at Google, she leads a team of 100+ HR leaders supporting 100,000+ Googlers worldwide.

As a 17-year breast cancer survivor, Dr. Colbert intimately understands adversity and the power of resilience. This, coupled with her military background and humble origins, has cultivated a leadership style characterized by unwavering strength, a clear vision, profound empathy, and undeniable grace.

Beyond the boardroom, Dr. Colbert’s heart beats for community transformation. She is the visionary founder of Sipping PositiviTEA™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uplifting those impacted by breast and chest cancer through financial assistance and emotional support. The organization has raised over $150,000 and partners with groups like The Rose, SurviHER, and brands like Max Mara, Tod’s, and Easy Spirit.

Dr. Colbert has penned “Corporate Sisterhood,” a powerful call to action and prescription for every working woman, and “The Gratitude Journal,” a purposeful tool for living a life anchored in intention and gratitude. She has a heart that is grounded in seeing other women grow, and it is through that center that she continuously coaches and mentors others.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Management and HR and an MBA with a concentration in HR. Her commitment to lifelong learning culminated in a doctoral degree in Management and Organizational Leadership. An avid drummer, dancer, and exercise fanatic, Dr. Colbert infuses joyful movement into her daily rhythm, finding restoration and self-expression in these passions.

A two-time Congressional Award recipient, CW39 Remarkable Woman Finalist, and a consumer peer reviewer for the DoD Congressional Research for Cancer, Dr. Colbert continues to spark transformation, amplify underrepresented voices, and drive meaningful change — from the highest levels of leadership to the heart of the communities she serves.
