Michelle Carbone

As Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief of Staff at BMC Software, Michelle Carbone is a trailblazer in driving operational excellence through the power of people, processes, and technology. As a key member of Houston-based BMC’s executive leadership team, she oversees value creation across the entire customer lifecycle including revenue operations, shared services, and analytics, as well as the transformation office. Under her leadership, Michelle has helped accelerate BMC’s overall digital transformation while delivering an enhanced customer, partner, and employee experience.
Prior to her current role, Michelle was instrumental in fast-tracking BMC’s subscription journey, unifying salesforce teams, and modernizing the company’s quote-to-cash process. She played a critical role in architecting the customer value proposition, a subscription/SaaS-oriented product roadmap, customer journey enhancements, and a compensation framework to incent sales performance. These efforts resulted in significant savings and delivered an optimized sales engagement model and experience for customers.

In addition to her passion for work and driving transformation, Michelle prioritizes giving back to her community and teams through Women in Technology & Business organizations and is an executive sponsor and personal supporter for BMC’s participation in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. A champion for diversity, Michelle is also an advocate for the Latin Employee Resource Group at BMC honoring her own heritage.

Throughout her career, Michelle has received several distinctions for her leadership and accomplishments including ranking on The Top 100 Women Leaders in Technology for 2021 as published in Women We Admire.

Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys traveling with friends and family, new experiences, and learning more about different cultures and music. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Houston Baptist University.
