Nia Johnson-Jones, MD

Dr. Nia Johnson-Jones is a native of the Washington, DC area. She completed her undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana with a BS in Biology finishing with highest honors (Summa Cum Laude). She earned her medical degree at Temple University College of medicine in Philadelphia where she graduated in the top 25% of her class.

She later moved to Houston, Texas to complete her emergency medicine residency at UT Hermann here in the Texas Medical Center. Dr. Johnson served as the chief resident and was awarded the “best teacher” during her chief year. She also received an award for the highest score of her in-training exam amongst her class.

After practicing emergency medicine here in Houston for years, she decided to pursue aesthetic medicine. Dr. Johnson opened Nia Aesthetics MD in 2019 and has since serviced over 2000 men and women. Doctor Johnson has been taught by leaders in the aesthetic field and participates in many classes and conferences on a local, national, and international level. She is now recognized as one of the experts in her field, especially full facial rejuvenation with neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She is known for her witty personality and her artistic eyes and hands.

While she absolutely loves what she does, she loves giving back. Her favorite community work has been serving as a board member of Urban Souls Dance company, starting “Doctor for a Day” for young children to be mentored by UT Houston medical school students. These children learn to suture, splint, and perform CPR.

She is a proud member of the Houston Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc. She has served as a grade group sponsor, co-chair of the regional children’s cluster, special events chair, and technology co-chair.

She is a very proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is married to her husband of 18 years, Thomas Jones, MD, Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. They have 2 amazing children, Christian Jackson Jones, 16, and Aubri Olivia Jones, 11. Her family loves to travel. Their most recent trips were to Bali and Singapore.
