Michelle Garrison

Michelle Garrison is the Chief Financial Officer of GetixHealth, LLC, a privately held multi-million-dollar

Revenue Cycle Management Services Company. Garrison joined the GetixHealth team in 2015 and is currently responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company in joint with the CEO. With her guided leadership her team ensures that GetixHealth has the proper financial controls, reporting procedures, talent and systems required for financial strength and overall operating efficiency. Garrison is a native of Atlanta, GA where she lived most of her life. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was a member of the National Association of Black Engineers and the National Society of Women Engineers. She went on to receive a Master of Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, in Atlanta, GA. Garrison founded, owned and operated a commercial construction company from 1999 – 2011. Before moving to the Houston Metro Area, Garrison broke a 43-year-old barrier in 1997 by becoming the very first black

female electrical engineer to be hired by one of the largest electrical construction companies in the southeast area. From 2012 – 2015 Garrison operated as the Senior Director for The Strategic CFO, where she served as a CFO Consultant to many mid-market businesses in the Houston Area. She provided her unparalleled knowledge to various industries including rig manufacturing, logistics, retail and commercial construction to name a few. Garrison has a proven track record for strategically aligning her expertise in management, finance and business to successfully mold and orchestrate companies for their upward mobility within their respective industries. Garrison is an influencer and advocate of success in all aspects of life, and it exudes not only in her professional accolades, but also in her personal life as well. She has a rich love for culture and family. She is married and has a beautifully blended family of two sons and two daughters. She fosters a spirit for community service and is cofounder of a life skills group name C.R.E.W. (Christian’s Ready Equipped and Willing), a group of high school student athletes that benefit from Christian based teachings and community service and prepares them for the transition from high school to college. Garrison and her family were struck with a challenge, when her youngest son was diagnosed with a right coronary anomaly, a life-threatening heart condition. He underwent open heart surgery in December of 2014, and Garrison was able to see him work through many hurdles and challenges as he returned to full activity. Supporting her son through such a trying time lit a fire within Garrison. She knew that many families didn’t have the capacity or finances to withstand such

a hardship. Jointly with Texas Children’s Hospital, she is actively spearheading The Coronary Anomaly

Foundation (Non-Profit). This foundation will not only provide knowledge for families that are affected,

but will also supply resources and various avenues of support to help them through the difficulties that go along with caring for a sick child. Garrison knows the importance of giving back, and her faith is what strengthens and motivates her to persevere no matter the circumstances. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:8. “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things!”
