Sherrita Monique Dorsey

Sherrita Monique Dorsey is a board-certified corporate healthcare executive with a 22-year exemplary record of driving quality patient outcomes, revenue growth, and operational efficiencies in diverse roles, industries, and specialties including Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Infectious Disease. She is among the scant 7 percent of women of color in healthcare to hold a Vice President position in the US. Sherrita is currently serving as the US Advocacy & Patient Engagement Lead for GlaxoSmithKline.

Her vast leadership & strategic capabilities support the improvement of health disparities of hundreds of thousands of patients and communities across the US. Her previous experience includes leadership roles in regional and national sales, research, nursing, and marketing at other globally recognized brands including AMGEN, Human Genome Science, Carmel Pharma, and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Sherrita is a native of Galveston, Texas. She exemplifies the presence and pride of Historically Black Colleges and Universities as she earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing Degrees from Prairie View A&M University. She attributes her success to her diversified education, career experiences, and global research experience which afforded her the privilege of being a published author before the age of 30. She is a recipient of the South African Minority International Research Traineeship (MIRT) funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Sherrita also enjoys her role as an entrepreneur and real estate developer with over 30 years of experience in renovating residential properties in Houston and the surrounding areas.

She has also contributed to her community through her membership with The Links, Inc. and Jack and Jill Of America among others. Sherrita is also the proud mother of two amazing children, Alexandria and Calvin Peete III.
