Martina Lemond Dixon

Martina Lemond Dixon of Kingwood is the Chief Executive Officer of C3 Building Solutions, where they expedite permitting for construction projects by “turning red tape into rainbows.” She serves as the Humble ISD School Board President and on the building and planning, finance, and board and superintendent evaluation committees, and she holds master trustee designation from the Texas Association of School Boards. She serves on the Harris County Appraisal District Board of Directors, where she represents 24 school districts and the four community college systems in Harris County, she serves on the Lone Star Investment Pool Board, and, most recently, she was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve as a Commissioner on the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, also known as T-COLE.

Martina’s foray into politics began in 2008, when she and her family lived in Abu Dhabi for four years. There she was elected to serve as school board trustee at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, which is affiliated with the U.S. State Department. While there, she attended NESA Leadership Training with the U.S. Office of Overseas Schools in Amman, Jordan, and Athens, Greece.

She is a member of the Texas Association of School Boards, the National School Board Association, Texas Association of Appraisal Districts, Texas Association of Assessing Officers, International Association of Assessing Officers, Houston Region Business Coalition, the Greater Houston Builders Association, and Women

She is a member of the Texas Association of School Boards, the National School Board Association, Texas Association of Appraisal Districts, Texas Association of Assessing Officers, International Association of Assessing Officers, Houston Region Business Coalition, the Greater Houston Builders Association, and Women Professionals in Government.

She volunteers as an active member of the Downtown Rotary Club of Houston, Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Barbara Bush Ladies for Literacy Guild, HomeAid Heroes, and the Humble-Kingwood Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

Just last week, Martina was part of the successful Delegation led by Houston City Council Member Ed Pollard to South Africa to build relationships with the leadership in Cape Town and Johannesburg for future business development opportunities in Houston and abroad.

Over the years, Martina has served in many roles, including, but not limited to, the 2014 Partnership Lake Houston Leadership Class President, Lake Houston Family YMCA Board, Cherish Our Children International Board of Directors, and as a former educator in Galena Park ISD, Houston ISD, and Spring ISD. One of her proudest moments was when she was selected for the Diamond Award in Galena Park ISD by two students, this award allows students in the top five percent to select one teacher who made the greatest impact on their life, from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

Martina received a B.A. in Communications from Auburn University, and a post baccalaureate in Construction Management and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University, and she is a PROUD graduate of North Shore High School. She and her husband, Scott, have four children, Cassidy, a graduate of Howard University and a Digital Marketing Manager for JLL, Alec, a former D1 swimmer and graduate of the University of Alabama and current graduate student and swimmer at Savannah College of Art and Design, Sydney, a sophomore at Spelman College, and Ian, a senior at Kingwood High School. As an interfaith family, she and her family are members of St. Martha Catholic Church and Lakewood Church.

In her spare time, Martina is an avid traveler, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, research, skiing, attending concerts, and Formula One.

Martina is an experienced, service-minded leader, and is passionate about innovation and positive change, with a determined focus in providing solutions and foresight to best ensure strong future growth and sustainability for all entities she serves.
