Sineria Ordóñez

Sineria Ordóñez, MSPM comes from a big family, being one of seven siblings and was raised by a single mother. With limited resources after immigrating to the United States and with the will to pave new roads, Sineria and her family made Texas their home. Her mother, without knowing it, had planted seeds of entrepreneurship along the way showing Sineria the art of customer service and lessons in continuous learning that lead to growth. A product of public Title I schools, Sineria embraced the richness and resilience that exists in communities that are often overlooked.

Sineria works at Comerica Bank as Vice-President, External Affairs Market Manager for South Texas, and National Hispanic Business Development Manager. In her national role, Sineria supports Comerica’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with Hispanic business leaders, entrepreneurs, and communities across its five primary markets of California, Texas, Michigan, Arizona and Florida.

As External Affairs for South Texas, Sineria is responsible for community reinvestments with priorities in small business, economic and workforce development; affordable housing; education including financial education; and neighborhood revitalization programs benefiting low to moderate-income individuals and communities. She has experience working across different industries in Marketing and Media, Insurance, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Non-Profit.  From leading initiatives to creating a way to forge new partnerships, Sineria’s focus has always been in building relationships within the community and believes in the strength of collective impact.

Sineria is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in International Studies and has a Master of Science in Project Management from St. Edward’s University. She is active in her community and serves on the DiscoverU Board and Project Management Advisory Board at Houston Community College, as well as a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum, Class XLIV. Sineria was a 2022 Sisters with Superpowers honoree by Rolling Out and most recently, has been named a 2023 National Latino Leaders Awardee by the National Diversity Council.

Sineria is a proud mother of two and enjoys spending time with familia while partaking in the cultural offerings that Houston has to offer.
