LaShandra “Shaun” Boddy

LaShandra “Shaun” Boddy is a native and lifelong resident of Houston, TX. She graduated from Texas Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice and holds a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University in criminal justice. Currently, she is a Probation Officer Supervisor for Fort Bend County, where she has proudly served the citizens of Fort Bend County for more than 20 years.

Boddy is a member of the Texas Probation Association and serves on the Silent Auction Committee, as well as the Exhibitors Committee. A strong advocate for the rehabilitation of those with mental illness, she is a member of the Specialty Court Alliance as a representative for Mental Health Courts — both organizations focus on public information and education. She reinforced her commitment to effective leadership in Law Enforcement after graduating from the Mid-Management Leadership for Corrections Professionals at the Correctional Management Institute of Texas.

She is currently in her third year as Chair of the Black Heritage Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where she has served the committee for over a decade. During her tenure as Chair, Boddy has increased the profits of the Fall Roundup and Annual BHC Gala, thus helping further the presence of Black individuals in Western culture. She has also made it a priority to instill the rich history of Black Western culture in members by doing unique activities like their recent participation in the Black Cowboy Museum in Rosenberg, TX.

Boddy is a dedicated active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated of 22 years. She currently serves on both the Local and Regional Level in several positions, including Regional Investigator and member of the Regional Rehabilitation Oversight Committee. She has also graduated from the Regional Preparing Emerging and Aspiring Regional Leaders Program. She has served the Houston Alumnae Chapter in various roles including First Vice President and Second Vice President. She has been both a mentor and mentee with the Houston Alumnae Chapter’s L.E.A.D. Program for future leaders.

She is also doing her part in preserving the history of Black arts in Houston. Boddy supports the Ensemble Theatre as a Founder’s Circle member, which is one of the theatre’s major fundraisers. She also serves the Theatre as a Theatre Guild Volunteer.

Boddy is a Member of the Links, Incorporated Texas Spring Cypress Chapter, which is an international, not-for-profit corporation. The membership consists of more than 17,000 professional women of color. She is the wife of Mr. Julian Boddy. They enjoy traveling and supporting various volunteer organizations together.
