Cindy Clifford

For more than 30 years, Cindy Clifford has been an active force in Houston’s business, civic, and political communities. Combined with her resourcefulness, experience, and can-do spirit, Cindy has built a solid reputation as someone who can get things done.  She has a keen ear for listening to clients’ public relations, marketing, and governmental affairs challenges, quickly determining their needs.  She is quick to assemble the right members of her internal team and sometimes external team members to tackle a project.

Beginning the company in the early 1990’s, Cindy quickly grew the firm to be one of the most well-regarded and respected PR & governmental affairs firms in the city.  The firm’s wide range of corporate and quasi–governmental clients rely on their advice and talents to lead their PR and governmental affairs efforts.

Cindy has served on dozens of nonprofit boards including the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority, the Houston Public Library, The Ensemble Theatre, The Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, and The Ryan White Planning Council, just to name a few.  She has chaired countless charitable organizations, fundraisers, and given pro-bono advice to countless.  She has an abundance of energy,  and she loves being involved in Houston’s civic and charitable community.

Her love of  politics has made her a stalwart volunteer and supporter of countless local, state, and federal officials.  She has been an active supporter of several mayors, beginning with  Mayor Kathryn Whitmire and every Mayor of Houston since, including Mayor Sylvester Turner.

She is proud to have taken an active role as a top-level volunteer on the campaigns of Mayor Lee Brown, Mayor Annise Parker, and Mayor Sylvester Turner.  Early on as a volunteer, Cindy stuffed envelopes, and for the past 25 or so years, Cindy has served on finance committees using her contacts and rallying skills to help raise funds for candidates.  She has a particular affection for local politics.

Cindy was honored to be asked to serve as the Chair of Mayor Turner’s first Inaugural Committee.  Within less than three weeks, she led 8 other top-level volunteers to raise the funds and produce three big events for the new Mayor.  For Mayor Turner’s second term, she co-chaired this event with her best friend, Elizabeth Brock, and they had about two weeks to do the same.

Cindy has won several awards and was named one of Houston’s 50 most influential Women by Houston Women Magazine.

She is partial to the color orange, loves throwing parties, reading, attending theater, is an avid traveler, and loves a good hand of blackjack.  She is married to photographer, David Bray, and is owner of two dogs, Kealy and Sticky.
