Dr. Jacqueline Jones McKinney, MSCP

Jacqueline Jones McKinney, PhD, MSCP, is a highly accomplished Clinical and Medical Psychologist with more than two decades in the field of behavioral health. Her distinguished career is defined by specialization in advanced psychological testing, trauma-informed care, marriage and family interventions, medication education and management, and individual psychotherapy for patients of all ages — from childhood to geriatrics.

She earned her doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri–Columbia and completed her residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center while serving in the United States Air Force. This rigorous training equipped her with the skills and compassion to address a broad spectrum of mental health challenges with precision and empathy, addressing the unique needs of every individual.

Dr. Jones McKinney is also a certified and highly trained PAVING Lifestyle Medicine provider; a distinction earned through a selective program led by Harvard physicians. This certification reflects her commitment to integrating lifestyle medicine into mental health care, delivering cutting-edge, evidence-based interventions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jones McKinney is the creator and author of The Still I Rise Program. This groundbreaking program empowers African American women all over the world to overcome challenges, embrace resilience, and thrive in every aspect of life.

An advocate for innovation, Dr. Jones McKinney has pursued advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and medical psychology. She is an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and Division 55 Society for Prescribing Psychology. As one of the few African American clinical psychologists with specialized training in psychotropic medications, she advocates for the safe, informed, and effective use of these medications in both behavioral health and multidisciplinary settings.

As Founder and CEO of Therapeutic Alliance and Testing Center, LLC, Dr. Jones McKinney leads a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, mental health therapists, podiatrists, mid-level providers, and administrative staff. Under her visionary leadership, the center delivers innovative programs and holistic care, ensuring patients receive comprehensive support “from head to toe.”

Her team sponsored the 30th Anniversary Health and Wellness House at the Essence Festival in New Orleans, LA—providing education and access to African American healthcare professionals and positively impacting more than 50,000 attendees. She is a sought-after motivational speaker throughout the world empowering women to lead, excel, and create meaningful change in their communities.
