Melinda Faust

Raised in Slidell, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, Melinda Faust was the 4th of 5 children born to George and Marilyn Faust.  Melinda moved to Houston, Texas, in 1998 to begin her career in oil & gas.

Melinda began her career in the oil and gas industry with a small offshore independent contractor.  She then joined an oil & gas  tech company start-up, DrillingInfo as a first hire in 2000.  After a valiant contribution to getting the, now $4.25 Billion company off the ground, Melinda joined friend Tracy Krohn traveling the country with his race team, Krohn Racing.  Her love for the oil & gas industry never wavered and she returned with roles at Dallas-based Noble Royalties and Lantana Energy Advisors and finally her Managing Director role at Detring.

Melinda joined Detring Energy Advisors as a Managing Director in May 2016. Formerly, Melinda has been actively involved in sourcing and executing over $4.5 Billion in oil & gas transactions across the small and mid-cap acquisition and divestiture space.

In 2009, Melinda became the Founder and President of ADAM-Houston (Acquisitions, Divestitures And Mergers), an oil & gas networking group comprised of key industry dealmakers.  Melinda subsequently founded ADAM-Permian and ADAM-Rockies. The ADAM networking organizations host a combined membership of over 700 senior-level A&D energy professionals.

Melinda  is the proud mother of daughter Ella.  She accredits her drive to her daughter and her mother, who worked tirelessly as an elementary school principal for 25 years while earning her masters and raising 5 children, also winning many accolades including the National ATHENA Leadership Award.

Melinda was recently named “25 Influential Women in Energy” by Hart Energy and Oil & Gas Investor.  Ms. Faust holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of New Orleans and is actively involved in multiple industry organizations including the ADAM groups, Houston Energy Finance Group (board member), Small Steps Energy Classic (committee member), Independent Petroleum Association of America, and the Houston Producers Forum.  Melinda holds a real estate license in the State of Texas.
