Jennifer St. Julian Wooden

Jennifer St. Julian Wooden wears many hats, holding several roles in her career, volunteer and family life. She has almost two decades of experience in the fields of public relations, performing arts, design and sales and marketing. Wooden currently serves as the director of the Humble Civic Center & Arena Complex, the Charles Bender Theatre and the Humble Area Senior Activity Center. Her duties include directing all marketing and sales, as well as overseeing the public relations and growth strategies for facilities and events in the City of Humble.

Wooden has made a great impact on the increased tourism traffic in the Humble area. Since 2017, she has brought numerous well-known shows and events to the Humble Civic Center and the Charles Bender Theatre. In addition to her impressive public relations experience, Wooden’s “go big or go home” attitude has played an important role in revitalizing the city of Humble by drawing visitors beyond the loop to experience hidden gems in Humble.

Outside of her already hectic work life, Wooden still finds time to be greatly involved in the lives of her five phenomenal children as well as in her community, church and local schools. She is an active member of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Houston Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. She serves on the board for the Leadership Lake Houston Alumni, is a committee member for the Lake Houston In the Pink Luncheon, which provides free mammograms to women in need, is an ambassador welcoming new businesses to the Lake Houston area and serves as a mentor for the pathway to leadership program with Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast.  She is also actively involved in the local school district on the Site Based Decision Making board and a member of Hope City Church.

Before serving under Mayor Merle Aaron with the City of Humble, Wooden worked in public relations as a liaison for Harris County Commissioner Jack Morman.  She has a background in public relations and marketing, health and wellness management and graphic design, having done extensive design work for celebrity and local clients.

Wooden holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.  She also studied Theatre Arts at Sweet Briar College, Virginia.  She is also a certified Life Coach and Independent Wellness Consultant with a passion for promoting the importance of work-life balance.
