Pamela Ellis

Pamela Ellis is President of Smahrt Solutions, Inc. Prior to starting Smahrt, Pamela held various management positions with corporations such as: JPMorgan Chase Bank, LG&E Energy Corp., Union Bank of California and Dynegy.

Smahrt is a management consulting firm based in the greater Houston area. Smahrt provides strategic planning and program management in four primary areas: Human Resource Management, Technology, Business Strategy and Project Management.

Pamela has managed the growth of the firm into a key service provider to Fortune 1000 companies in the greater Houston area and nationwide. Smahrt’s clients have included Service Corporation International (SCI), Anadarko Petroleum, Turner Broadcast Systems, U.S. State Department and most recently, the State of Maryland.

Under Pamela’s direction, Smahrt has become one of the fastest growing minority woman-owned technology companies in Texas. In 2012, Smahrt was nominated by the Houston Citizen’s Chamber as a finalist for the Pinnacle Award. In January 2013, Smahrt formed a joint venture, ER staffing to offer a comprehensive suite of Workforce Solutions including workforce planning and analytics, staffing and recruiting, software and managed services.

Pamela is recognized as a thought leader in the field of Human Resources and Workforce Analytics and is often engaged to speak at conferences, present workshops and lead industry-related events.

A graduate of the University of Houston, Pamela is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Pamela’s passion is her foundation and charity of choice, The Smahrt Girl Foundation, a nonprofit mentoring program for young girls ages 12 to 20 who live in rural communities throughout the State of Texas. The foundation serves as a resource to the girls in their desire to obtain a quality education, life experiences and relationships that will equip them to live the life of their dreams!
