With a strong foundation in leadership, mentoring, and professional development, Qiana is a driven visionary and full of energy — traits that define both her personal and professional journey.

She holds a Bba in Entrepreneurship and Management from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and is a proud alumna of the prestigious Cyvia and Melvyn Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship — ranked as the #1 undergraduate entrepreneurship program in the nation.

James’ entrepreneurial spirit emerged early. By the age of eight, she knew she wanted to run her own business. In 2010, she brought that vision to life with the founding of Friendly Faces Senior Care, a premier home care agency committed to helping seniors age in place with independence, dignity, and personalized support. The company has earned numerous accolades, including Provider of Choice, Employer of Choice, Top Home Care for Houston, and a Bbb Award of Excellence. It has also been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies and the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces.

Continuing her legacy of innovation, James has expanded her portfolio to include:

  • Talent by Friendly Faces – a staffing and recruitment firm
  • iLuxe Rides – a luxury medical and Vip concierge transportation company
  • Purple Rose Academy of Caregiving – an upcoming Cna training school, dedicated to preparing the next generation of certified nursing assistants and caregivers
  • Friendly Maids – providing professional residential and commercial cleaning services
  • Friendly Faces Visiting Nurses – provides compassionate in-home nursing care for seniors and expert recovery support for cosmetic and post-surgical procedures.

In addition to her business endeavors, James is the founder of The Doll Foundation, named in honor of her late grandmother, “Mama Doll.” The foundation provides vital education and resources for caregivers and underserved seniors.

James’ commitment to service extends into her community work. She has served on multiple boards and advisory councils, including Cap of Houston, Cap of Pearland, The Perfect Connection, the Pearland Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, the Bauer College of Business Advisory Board, and the Independent Home Care Alliance Advisory Board. She is deeply engaged in philanthropic initiatives throughout the Greater Houston area.

Grounded by a strong spiritual foundation, James dedicates countless hours to volunteer ministry, offering Bible-based guidance to those seeking a deeper relationship with God. She treasures her marriage of nearly 18 years, proudly calling her husband her best friend. In her downtime, she enjoys travel, fine dining, and luxurious spa experiences — identifying wholeheartedly as a “foodie” and a “spa connoisseur.”

Her guiding philosophy: “Always believe in yourself and be your own greatest advocate.”
