Letitia D. Quinones

Letitia D. Quinones is a prominent and acclaimed criminal defense attorney in Houston.  She is a proud graduate of Texas Southern University – Thurgood Marshall School of Law.  After graduating from law school, Quinones began her legal career as a solo practitioner and immediately hung her shield. It did not take long for Quinones to realize she was born to be a criminal defense attorney.

After practicing on her own for almost seven years, she caught the eye of Mr. Robert Alton Jones.  Mr. Jones took Quinones under his wing and taught her the ins and outs of the “real” practice of law.  Jones helped cultivate her talents, and he poured as much knowledge into her as he possibly could. Now, Quinones is one of Houston’s most widely respected and successful criminal defense attorneys.  As Quinones continued to fight for justice for her clients, she eventually caught the eye of one of the most famed, feared and successful attorneys in Texas, Mr. Chip B. Lewis.  Lewis has represented many high-profile clients.  Quinones has assisted with many of his high-profile cases.

Quinones has received acquittals and dismissals on very complex and difficult criminal cases.  Additionally, Quinones has been successful in negotiating and obtaining fair and equitable punishments for defendants across the nation.  Recently, Quinones received a dismissal on a highly publicized Stand Your Ground case.  Quinones and the case will be featured on the up and coming crime show, Crime Watch Daily.

Over the years, Quinones has broken down many barriers, and she has completely shattered the glass ceiling often found for women of color.  She is now the sole owner of the Law Office of Quinones & Associates, P.L.L.C.

Quinones volunteers her time mentoring young up-and-coming lawyers, and she speaks locally and nationally.  Quinones Co-Chairs the elite Trail Advocacy Program at Texas Southern University – Thurgood Marshall School of Law.  She has been noticed and acknowledged by many organizations and has the following honors:

  • Lifetime Member of Best Attorneys in America
  • Premier 100 Trial Attorneys
  • American Academy of Trial Attorneys (Nominated)
  • 50 Top Attorneys in Houston

Quinones has also founded Food For Growth, Inc., a nonprofit organization that will feed the underprivileged community in Houston and the surrounding areas.  Through this program, Quinones will educate children on the importance of nutrition and how to develop a healthy relationship with food, an initiative first speared by First Lady Michelle Obama.  Food For Growth, Inc. will not only teach the young generation the importance of healthy eating, but it will also be a vehicle used to create a sense of positive possibility for their futures.

Quinones is a single mother of two beautiful girls, Lauren and Elyssa.  Lauren is a seventh grader at The Imani School, and Elyssa is a senior at the University of Southern California. Through hard work, dedication and cultivating of talent, Quinones enjoys a reputation in Houston as a woman on the move. Her life is dedicated to the service of the people, and she would not have it any other way.  Quinones believes that knowledge is power, and one of her favorite quotes is, “If you know better, you do better.”
