Staci Taylor Fullmighter

Staci Taylor Fullmighter has worked as a teacher, instructional coordinator, school improvement facilitator, principal, adjunct professor and assistant superintendent.  She is currently the officer of student assessment for the Houston Independent School District.  As a product of the Houston Independent School District Fullmighter is committed to ensuring all students receive a quality education regardless of their ethnicity or socioeconomic background. In her current role she has taken an unprecedented approach to managing and designing the district’s assessment resources to ensure school leaders, teachers, students, and parents have access to tools and services in real time that positively impact student achievement, support special populations and promote college and career readiness.  Her commitment to ensuring quality education for all students has allowed her to leverage assessments to monitor students’ progress and support their academic growth.  Fullmighter has established an unparalleled reputation as an influencer in urban education through working tirelessly to provide educational opportunities for underserved communities.

Fullmighter is also actively involved in the community as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter, having held the offices of reporter to the Ivy Leaf, recording and corresponding secretary, historian, debutante committee chairman and graduate council member for Epsilon Lambda Chapter at the University of Houston.  Additionally, she has served as a board member and president of the Ivy Educational and Charitable Foundation of Houston.  She was appointed as a liaison for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated 68th National Conference in which she supported the execution of six major events.  Additionally, she is an active member of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated Greater Channel Chapter, and during her tenure she has served as the protocol chairman and foundation chairman. Staci enhances the greater Brazoria County area as a member of The Links, Incorporated Greater Pearland Area Chapter, in which she has held the offices of historian, fundraising chairman, and she is currently serving as the vice president of programming.  Fullmighter’s community service is grounded in the words of Marian Edelman Wright, “Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time”.

Fullmighter earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science and history from Sam Houston State University and obtained a Master of Science in educational leadership from Prairie View A& M University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in organizational leadership from Abilene Christian University. Fullmighter is the wife of Benjamin Davis Fullmighter II and mother of Sydni Diana Fullmighter.
