Desrye Morgan

Managing Director, Wells Fargo Securities and Vice Chairwoman, Houston First Corp.
Desrye Morgan is a managing director with the Wells Fargo Securities Southwest Public Finance group. She is an accomplished lawyer and investment banker with over 17 years of experience in advising and structuring over $8 billion of municipal financings for housing, transportation, airport, water and sewer systems and other public benefit projects. At Wells Fargo, Desrye also serves on the Houston Leadership Repetitional Council and the Diversity and Inclusion Council. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, she was a director with the municipal finance group of UBS Investment Bank and a vice president with Banc of America Securities. As a lawyer, her area of practice consisted of public finance, corporate and business transactions with concentration on business acquisitions, dispositions and regulatory compliance.
In 2014, Desrye was diagnosed with Lupus, so she began serving as an advocate for broader research and clinical trials among individuals of color who are suffering from Lupus. She has met with members of Congress regarding Lupus funding and co-hosted, along with Donna Sims Wilson, informational receptions. Desrye is the proud mother of Joshua Pierre. Joshua is the founder and designer of Edwige Pierre, a menswear brand, of which Desrye is member and advisor. She enjoys complicated jigsaw puzzles, yoga, traveling and baking.
