Barbara Walker-Green

Honoree 2014, Barbara Walker-Green has always been interested in helping others. When she first entered the financial services industry, she initially focused on corporate finance, but the needs of her boomer friends, as well as her family, inspired change. In an effort to help those around her experience financial freedom and peace of mind, Walker-Green opened her own financial planning practice, Advanced Wealth and Retirement Planning Concepts, nearly a decade ago.

As a Personal Wealth Advisor, Barbara Walker-Green specializes in wealth management, financial planning and retirement strategies. She focuses on the entire family during this process to ensure the goals – both financial and personal – are well communicated to the client’s family and structured to be honored upon one’s passing.

Walker-Green is a Registered Investment Advisor and is insurance licensed. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She is both knowledgeable and passionate about her work and is a well-suited planner for individuals and families in need of comprehensive financial and retirement planning services.

Her combination of nearly two decades of experience, training and specialized education means Walker-Green can meet a client’s total financial planning needs. She has been quoted by media giants such as Forbes, Dow Jones, Money magazine, and RTINews as a financial expert and ‘go to’ person. She was also featured on the cover of the Senior Market Advisor magazine as the “Boomer Expert” and quoted in Black Enterprise Magazine.

She provides regular financial commentary on FOX, KHOU and KTRX News stations in Houston. She is currently producing her own reality series, The Financial Fixer – aimed at providing financial solutions to a wide range of financial challenges.

Since beginning her practice, WalkerGreen has become a top advisor and a nationally recognized speaker, joining groups such as the National Ethics Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Million Dollar Round Table and NAIFA.
