Her research centered on Teachers’ Perceptions Regarding Dyslexia Training for Addressing the Social-Emotional Needs of Children with Dyslexia. Dr. Breaux received the Dissertation of the Year award from the Texas Council of Professors of Educational Administration for her policy and advocacy work for students with dyslexia and the teachers who teach them. To date her dissertation has been downloaded over thirteen-hundred times across eighty-eight countries. Breaux has held a variety of roles in education: teacher, reading specialist, dyslexia and intervention coordinator, campus principal, and director of special populations.
