Dee Dee Stephens

Dee Dee Stephens has over 20 years of experience in both in-house and law firm roles. She joined LiquidPower Specialty Products Inc. (“LSPI”), a Berkshire Hathaway company, in July 2019 as Senior Counsel and has had several roles of increasing responsibility. Dee Dee has served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since January 2023, overseeing a legal team that supports LSPI’s global operations on legal matters, including litigation, regulatory and compliance issues, corporate governance, labor and employment, IP, data privacy, cybersecurity, crisis management, and charitable contributions.

Dee Dee also advises the business on commercial business strategy. Before LSPI, Dee Dee worked for Primoris Services Corporation (previously known as Willbros Pipeline Construction Company) with responsibility for regulatory compliance and commercial litigation. Dee Dee started her legal career at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in the Palo Alto, California, office in the Commercial and Employment Litigation Groups. She was on a trial team that went to verdict and second-chaired a binding tax arbitration. She also was uniquely positioned to assist clients with Administrative Property Tax Controversy issues.

Dee Dee earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology degrees from Texas Southern University and graduated magna cum laude. She earned her juris doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law. After returning to Houston, she earned her LLM in taxation from the University of Houston Law Center. Dee Dee remains barred in both California and Texas.

Dee Dee is married to Riley Broussard III. They are the proud parents of a son, Jaiden, who attends Morehouse College, and a daughter, Sydnie, who is entering 9th grade at Episcopal High School. Riley and Dee Dee are both originally from Port Arthur, Texas, but are now proud Houstonians.

Dee Dee serves on the executive board of Breakthrough T1D and is the Advocacy Team chair for the Southern Texas Chapter – Houston. In this position, she advocates for research and funding to help fund a cure for type 1 diabetes. She is also a Silver Star member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. by way of the Gamma Psi Chapter at Texas Southern University and is currently serving as the Parliamentarian for the Montgomery County Pearls of Purpose. In her spare time, Dee Dee loves to travel and watch movies with her family and friends.
