Dr. Heather Brown

Orthodontist & Owner, Dr. Heather Brown Orthodontics

Dr. Heather Brown is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Meharry Medical College and her specialist certificate in Orthodontics at Howard University where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.

Considered one of Houston’s most prominent orthodontists, Dr. Brown’s community achievements have not gone unrecognized. She is the recipient of the 100 Black Men 2013 Phenomenal Woman of The Year Award and was named one of the 25 Most Beautiful Houstonians by HTexas Magazine. Dr. Brown received the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce 2012 Pinnacle Award and has been lauded as one of The Top 25 Women of Houston. Dr. Brown has made appearances on Great Day Houston, Check This Out Houston, and KHOU Channel 11 News. She has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, Health and Fitness Magazine, Seventeen Magazine, Rolling Out Magazine, Who’s Who In Black Houston and d-mars.com publications. Her exceptional clinical skills have landed her in the superior 3% of Invisalign Practitioners in the United States as an Invisalign Elite Provider.

Dr. Brown is not a typical orthodontist. Her crowning achievement was when she founded and established the Houston Chapter of the Smile For A Lifetime Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization that provides free orthodontic services to disadvantaged children.The chapter has donated more than $78,000 in orthodontic services. Dr. Brown has partnered with the Houston Texans to form a “Play It Safe” Campaign where she and former NFL Players visit local schools to educate student athletes about mouthguard safety. Dr. Brown also offers a summer internship program where she mentors young students interested in pursuing a career in dentistry.

Dr. Brown remains active in several professional organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She also serves as a Board of Director for the Houston Texans YMCA. Dr. Brown is married to former NFL player Eric Brown. The couple has two sons, Jaxon and Jace.
