Dr. Alexia McClerkin, DC, APRN, FNP-BC is a visionary healthcare leader, entrepreneur, and community advocate who has dedicated her career to transforming lives through innovation, compassionate care, and service. As one of the few professionals dual-licensed as both a Doctor of Chiropractic and Family Nurse Practitioner, she has redefined what integrative healthcare looks like—bridging traditional medicine, regenerative medicine, rehabilitation, and wellness to help patients not simply recover, but thrive.

With more than 18 years of experience, Dr. McClerkin has cared for everyone from professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and Olympic sports to weekend warriors and youth athletes, earning a reputation for delivering exceptional, patient centered care. She is the founder and owner of The Sports and Wellness Doc and The Wellness Doc Integrative Medicine, practices recognized for their comprehensive, evidence-based approach to injury recovery, performance optimization, and whole-person health.

Beyond the walls of her clinics, Dr. McClerkin is deeply committed to creating healthier communities. She is the founder of 9 Months of 5K, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and families through movement, education, and wellness initiatives. Her passion for service extends to volunteering with elite athletes at the Chevron Houston Marathon and sharing her expertise as a speaker on sports medicine, injury prevention, entrepreneurship, and health innovation.
