Dr. Michelle Howze Moore is a board-certified Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, entrepreneur, and community leader dedicated to advancing women’s health and wellness. She is the Founder and CEO of Distinctive Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in The Woodlands, Texas, and has spent more than 15 years providing specialized, compassionate care to patients across the Houston area. Her clinical expertise includes pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal and postpartum rehabilitation, and breast cancer recovery, helping thousands of individuals restore function, confidence, and quality of life through personalized treatment and wellness solutions. In recognition of her professional excellence and entrepreneurial leadership, Dr. Moore was named one of the Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs of Texas in 2025.

Dr. Moore earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Indianapolis after completing her undergraduate studies in Health and Human Performance at University of Memphis. She is board certified as a Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Her advanced credentials reflect her commitment to clinical excellence and innovation in pelvic health rehabilitation.

An active advocate for professional growth and education, Dr. Moore is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, where she remains engaged in continuing education and advancements in physical therapy practice. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Moore is the co-founder of the Holiday Soul Nutcracker Market, a signature annual event celebrating minority-owned businesses and Black holiday traditions in Houston. Since its inception, the market has welcomed thousands of shoppers, generated significant revenue for small businesses, and contributed thousands of dollars to charitable initiatives throughout the community.

Dr. Moore is also deeply committed to service and leadership. She is a dedicated member of Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church, an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she serves on her chapter’s Executive Committee, and a member of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Through these organizations, she actively supports mentorship, leadership development, and community outreach initiatives.

Above all, Dr. Moore values faith, family, and service. She and her husband, Terence Moore, have been married for 11 years and are proud parents to their twin daughters, Madison and Mariah, as well as bonus daughters Gabrielle Moore, Esq., and Alexandra Moore. In her leisure time, Dr. Moore enjoys traveling, fine dining, gardening, shopping, and wellness experiences that promote rest, balance, and restoration.
