Jamie Jordan is a practicing family law attorney and community service advocate in the Greater Houston area.  A native North Dakotan, she was born and raised in a small farming community and earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.  Jamie worked as a nurse on a medical/surgical unit in Fargo, North Dakota and collaborated with Family Promise to develop, promote, and implement programs for refugees in the Fargo-Moorhead area.  She assisted in providing and improving medical services offered to those in need.  Jamie pursued her Juris Doctorate at South Texas College of Law after her transition to the Houston area in 2004.  Jamie interned at the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office in the juvenile division and volunteered with Fort Bend Family Promise to serve and advocate for families in the Greater Houston area. 

Jamie, a solo family law practitioner, advocates for families to promote settlements and resolutions for all involved.  She provides legal advice, diligent representation, and reassurance to her clients. 

Jamie is the proud mother of 5 children.  Her oldest son, Ravi, is a sophomore at the University of Texas in Austin and a member of the Dean’s Scholars Program majoring in physics and a focus in mathematics.  Her oldest daughter, Jaya, awarded as the reserve champion at the Fort Bend County Fair for her show steer, attends Texas A&M majoring in Animal Science. Her daughter, Maya, a dedicated student and senior in high school has established a nonprofit organization to supply books to children in impoverished areas.  Her youngest daughter, Gracie is an active member of FFA and has raised a pig and currently raising two steers to show at Fort Bend County Fair and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Her youngest son, Jack, attends elementary school.

Jamie’s serves with Second Mile Ministries, Attack Poverty, the Lone Star Exchange Club, the local constables’ office in distribution of food and supplies to the community, as well as other organizations in reaching out and assisting in the community.

Jamie collaborates with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the domestic violence initiative.  She has created a team that will focus on working with law officials, authorities, politicians, and the community to prevent and provide awareness of domestic violence in the community. 

Jamie has qualified and is a finisher of the Boston Marathon.  She enjoys riding her Harley Davidson, finding a challenging mountain to climb, running that next mile, and spending time with her children and animals.

Jamie is a judicial candidate for the 328th Judicial District Court of Fort Bend County, Texas.
