Kristin Williams has been the CEO of Kingwood Pines Hospital, a 116-bed in-patient psychiatric hospital, since August 2019. With over 22 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, Kristin has dedicated her career to improving mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.

Before her tenure at Kingwood Pines Hospital, Kristin served as the CEO of Garland Behavioral Hospital, a 72-bed in-patient facility in Garland, Texas. Her leadership journey with Universal Health Services (UHS) began in 2017 when she joined Garland Behavioral Hospital. Previously, she served as Administrator for Oceans Behavioral Hospital of the Permian Basin, a 64-bed in-patient hospital. During her over eight-year tenure at Oceans Behavioral Hospital, Kristin held several key positions, including Director of Intake and Director of Business Development, showcasing her versatility and deep commitment to mental health care.

Kristin’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. Her educational foundation and practical experience have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of psychiatric care. She is a licensed professional counselor, further solidifying her expertise and dedication to mental health.

Kristin is not only an accomplished leader but also a passionate advocate for patients, their families, and her staff. She emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and trauma-informed care environment where employees can thrive. Her leadership style is characterized by a deep commitment to advocacy and support, ensuring that both patients and staff receive the highest quality of care and support.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Kristin is actively involved in several professional organizations. She is a member of the Houston Network of Behavioral Health Providers, the Texas Hospital Association, and the American Hospital Association. These affiliations reflect her dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in mental health care and her commitment to continuous improvement in the field.
