Lina Sabouni

Lina Sabouni, co-founder and principal of AUTOARCH Architects, brings more than twenty years of experience in the delivery of architectural, engineering and design excellence in the new construction of 21st century educational and work force facilities. Her body of work includes educational (K-12 and higher education) institutions, governmental, office and commercial buildings, medical facilities and worship spaces.

A great believer in the public educational system and a recognized leader in the community, Sabouni has been called upon to reach those in the architectural, engineering and construction industry, as well as the business community, to rally support for several important Educational Bond Elections. This effort has included coordinating community meetings and making presentations for public/community awareness and approval of the bonds. For the past 18 years, Sabouni has tirelessly chaired efforts to assist in passing these much-needed bonds in support of educational opportunities. Cultivating her relationships with both public and private entities, Sabouni was instrumental in obtaining several joint programs, creating synergies between higher education and other education organizations.  Sabouni has also participated in key community roundtable discussions for long-term planning of targeted higher education campus projects and in community partnering efforts.

In 2013, the Bilateral US Arab Chamber of Commerce, in response to the growing demand for updating and advancing the Educational System in the MENA Countries, established the Education Council and requested Sabouni to be the education chair.  Sabouni hosts monthly round table discussions to assist in building and advancing the education system in the MENA countries, through promoting transactions between US companies, institutions and organizations active in the education sector and their equivalent parties in the Middle East.  Sabouni’s passion and drive for public education has paved the road for healthy economic growth in the truly diverse Texas community and abroad.
