Wendy Preciado

Wendy Preciado is the founder and CEO of CM & D National Construction LLC. Her journey from humble beginnings to the helm of a major international firm is a testament to her unwavering faith, resilience, and dedication. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Wendy immigrated to the United States at the age of 8. Her early years were marked by the challenges of poverty and the struggles of an immigrant family. Her mother, a single parent of five who did not speak English, drive, or hold a job, relied on the kindness of a church to provide shelter. Wendy’s path was further complicated when she discovered her immigration status while attempting to enroll in college.

Despite these obstacles, Wendy’s determination propelled her forward. She became a U.S. citizen and leveraged her experiences to inspire others. Her mantra, “Faith over Fear,” underscores her belief in the power of faith in Jesus Christ and perseverance. Wendy attributes her success to God’s grace, acknowledging that divine intervention opened doors and created opportunities she never imagined possible.

Wendy’s professional journey is equally impressive. With over a decade of experience in commercial construction and development, she has become a respected figure in the industry. Her expertise extends to the hospitality sector, where she has collaborated with numerous recognized franchises. As founder of CM & D National Construction LLC, Wendy’s leadership, business development acumen, and public relations skills have significantly enriched her team.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Wendy is deeply committed to community involvement. She participates in panels and conferences and speaks at schools to share her story and motivate others. Her mission is to show children, young adults, and adults alike that regardless of their background, culture, or circumstances, choosing faith over fear can lead to transformative change. Wendy’s personal narrative is a powerful example of how current situations do not determine one’s future.

Wendy’s contributions extend to various industry associations. She is the ambassador for the Texas region of the Latino Hotel Association. In this role, she collaborates with president and CEO Lynette Montoya to educate and empower Latino and Hispanic families on hotel ownership, aiming to create generational wealth within these communities. She is an active member of the U.S. Council of Hispanics in Construction and serves on the board of advisors for La Voz de Construcción. Additionally, she collaborates with small business owners like Luisa Montoya, the founder and CEO of Diversity Matters, who provides resources and information for the growth of small businesses. Recently, she has been collaborating with Liz Castillo, the founder and president of the Greater Houston Trucking Association, and Priscilla Picasso to get more involvement in the trucking and transportation community.

Her dedication to community service is fueled by her belief in several core principles: preparation meets opportunity, the importance of a strong network, the value of helping others, and the notion that change starts within oneself. Wendy also emphasizes that one’s environment significantly influences their potential and that the best gift one can give is the gift of giving. She strives to be remembered not for her titles or wealth, but for the positive impact she has on others’ lives.

Wendy Preciado’s journey from an immigrant child to a successful Founder and CEO and community leader embodies the spirit of resilience and the power of faith. Her story is a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for many, demonstrating that with determination and faith, one can overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness.
