Christina Robinson Grochett

Chief Strategist for Innovation and Research, Lone Star College

Christina Robinson Grochett currently serves as Chief Strategist for Innovation and Research at Lone Star College – University Park. Grochett spearheads the expansion of innovative ideas across the Lone Star College system and engages cross-functional teams in delivering strategic outcomes.

Grochett is a champion of higher learning and was honored as one of the Top Ten Most Influential Women in 2010 by Houston Woman Magazine and 2008 Top Ten Business Woman in the country by the American Business Women’s Association. Most recently, she was selected from across the nation as the 2011 Cambridge Who’s Who in Education VIP. In 2008, Grochett co-authored a book for women called The Power of Ten: Extraordinary Stories of Ten Top Business Women. The book is featured on Amazon.com. Grochett has monthly articles published in D-Mars journal.

Under Grochett’s leadership, the University of Phoenix was a four-time winner of both the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Workplace Flexibility and Innovation and the Best Places to Work honor from the Houston Business Journal. Her commitment to further educating the community was recognized, landing her the 2010 Good Neighbor Award for Spring Branch ISD and 2011 Houston A+ Challenge Award – Raising Expectations and Student Achievement in Houston public schools. Grochett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Texas A & M University and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
