Conchita Reyes

Conchita paid her way through college by working for the Houston City Controller and now Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia. As a result, she was given the distinct honor of 100 team members of the Advance of the White House under the Clinton – Gore administration. Prior to building her own firm, Conchita was a fiscal administrator for the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Mir Fox & Rodriguez P.C. CPA Firm.

Conchita Reyes has over 20 years of experience in accounting and small business development. She now owns and operates a financial and consulting group, helping businesses with accounting and tax planning. She specializes in governmental accounting, fraud, sales tax, and insurance audits.

Conchita has served her community in many ways, staying active on many nonprofit boards like La Rosa Family Services, Tejano Center, Memorial Park Conservancy, Latin Women’s Initiative, Morales Memorial Foundation, American Jewish Committee for Community of Conscience, and Rebuilding Together Houston. She also serves as the liaison for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 19 – Johnny Mata and LULAC Council 60, one of the oldest councils in Houston. She is a graduate of leadership programs including the Latino Texas PAC Candidate Leadership Program, Leadership ISD Class III, American Jewish Committee (AJC) Emerging Latino Leaders, and American Leadership Forum (ALF) Class L.

Conchita enjoys educating and empowering young Latina entrepreneurs, start-up businesses, and non-profits. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children: Alec (20) is serving in the U.S. Navy, Andres (17) is a Junior in high school, and Alina (11) is a 5th Grader at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School.

Conchita is currently running for Houston City Council At-Large Position 1, where she hopes to become the second Latina to ever hold that position.
