LaMonica Love

LaMonica Love is the founder of The Love Law Group and Consulting Services, PLLC, which provides top-notch legal services and business solutions to start-ups, entrepreneurs and small/medium sized businesses. She previously worked as a corporate attorney and business management consultant for two Fortune 500 companies, representing those companies in corporate multi-million-dollar transactions. Her practice areas include business planning and management, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, risk-management, intellectual property and corporate governance and formation. She has been a recurring contributor on Fox 26 Morning News discussing legal issues surrounding technology and social media.

Love is a graduate of the Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy and currently serves as the President of the Association of Women Attorneys (AWA). She previously served as the President-Elect, Secretary and on the Judicial Nominations Committee of the AWA.

Love is also a graduate of the Project Blueprint Leadership Development Program through the United Way of Greater Houston and has volunteered with THRIVE Family Stability Collaboration and the Bi-Annual Community Reinvestment. These committees make decisions on the allocation process of over 17 million dollars of donations from corporations and individuals to non-profits and NGO’s in Houston. She also served on the Inaugural Host Committee for the “Polichic” Training for Women, which travels nationally training everyday women on political engagement. As a Native Houstonian, Love is extremely passionate about electing and supporting women of color candidates for political office.  She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Love also serves as the volunteer Executive Director for ProjectNEXT, the building expansion initiative for Harvest Point Fellowship Church and as a member of Hope of Harvest, a 501(c)3 focused on entrepreneurship and business development in Southeast Houston.

Love balances her business along with her family which includes her partner, Michael, a creative son Blake and spirited daughter Blaire.
