Myriam Saldívar is an accomplished public servant, executive leader, and community strategist whose career has been defined by a steadfast commitment to public service, civic engagement, and building stronger, more resilient communities throughout Texas.
With more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning local and state government, higher education, and community affairs, Myriam has earned a reputation for bringing people together to solve complex challenges through collaboration, innovation, and strategic partnerships. She currently serves as Strategic Partnership Manager for Harris County, where she leads initiatives that strengthen relationships among government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, faith-based organizations, and community leaders. Her work focuses on advancing resilience, disaster preparedness, infrastructure awareness, public engagement, and equitable access to county resources.
Throughout her career, Saldívar has championed initiatives that empower communities by creating meaningful opportunities for residents to engage with their government. She has successfully led public outreach efforts, developed collaborative partnerships, and organized impactful programs that foster trust, increase civic participation, and strengthen neighborhoods across one of the nation’s most diverse regions.
Beyond her professional role, Saldívar has proudly served as an elected Trustee for the Lone Star College System since 2016. As a trustee and Vice Chair of the Board, she has been a strong advocate for student success, workforce development, educational access, and sound governance. Her leadership has helped shape policies that expand opportunities for thousands of students while strengthening connections between higher education and the communities it serves.
A proud Houston native and graduate of Aldine Senior High School, Myriam earned her bachelor’s degree in international studies with a minor in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas after beginning her higher education journey at Lone Star College. Her experiences have reinforced her belief that education, public service, and authentic community partnerships are powerful catalysts for lasting change.
Recognized for her collaborative leadership and unwavering dedication to service, Saldívar continues to inspire others through her ability to build bridges across sectors and bring diverse voices together in pursuit of meaningful progress.
