Tammy Harris

Tammy Harris has over 20 years of extensive training in dance and fitness. Harris began teaching dance classes in Houston, Texas, while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice at Texas Southern University. Harris was a member of the NBA Houston Rockets Power Dancers for 4 years, performing all over the Houston area.

As a motivator and role model, Harris has a unique connection with her audience that stems from her own personal journey towards wellness.  Before becoming a successful fitness expert, Harris struggled with her own weight challenges.  She was determined to reach her goals and through dedication and hard work, she did. Harris holds her group fitness certification from Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).

Harris launched her company, Soul Grooves®, LLC, with the goal of creating total life solutions for people that involve all aspects of living well, including health, wellness, weight loss and overall lifestyle. Harris shares a unique and inspiring philosophy that encourages behavioral changes and motivates people to reach their physical and psychological goals.

The motto of Soul Grooves® is “Health and wellness is a way of LIFE.” Soul Grooves® is a transformative mind, body and soul cardiovascular dance workout that inspires people to change their bodies as well as their lifestyles. It builds a community of compassionate, accepting people that are inspired to do better for themselves and others. With fun, effective, energetic and easy-to-follow dance routines, Soul Grooves® combines Hip Hop, Latin and athletic movements into one 60-minute experience and delivers an unforgettable workout that appeals to all fitness levels, ages, shapes, sizes, genders and backgrounds.
