Karen Becerra

Karen Becerra is the co-founder and COO of the Principle Partnering Group, LLC. She leads and directs the firm’s activities in all aspects of business development, and program planning and implementation. The firm is a premiere management consulting organization with an unsurpassed track record in helping companies of all sizes establish, manage, and maintain successful business-to-business collaborations. The firm offers objective solutions, effective project management, and strategic support services across all business segments.

Becerra has more than 35 years of experience in business development, community relations and outreach.  She has been recognized by Mayor Annise Parker through her appointments to chair the Mayor’s Transition Planning Committee for Transportation and the Hispanic Advisory Board. In addition, she is a Senior Fellow in the American Leadership Forum Class XVI, and has worked with Mayors Bob Lanier, Lee P. Brown, and Bill White.

Becerra is as an advocate for the Hispanic community and is highly skilled at development of student internship/workforce programs. She achieved a 90% retention rate in her programs in which more than 900 students have benefited.  She is considered a specialist in outreach to Hispanic businesses, community and neighborhood organizations in the greater Houston area and has led educational institutions such as San Jacinto Community College and Houston Community College to develop strong relationships with the business community. Becerra enjoys a national presence in several organizations – including being an inductee in the Hall of Fame for Hispanic Women in Leadership and Texas Women’s Empowerment Foundation, and a recipient of the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the National Hispanic Professional Organization in 2006.
