Sana Sabharwal

Sana Sabharwal is a Principal at Stantec, one of the world’s leading architecture, engineering, and design firms, where she leads the Interior Design Studio in Houston, and founded Studio Vector – a specialized practice focused on healthcare, workplace, and high-volume project delivery. Since 2019, Studio Vector has delivered more than 250 projects representing over $300 million in construction value and more than 1.5 million square feet of healthcare and workplace environments. By developing standardized workflows, scalable delivery systems, and technology enabled processes, Sabharwal has helped redefine how fast-paced, repeatable projects are delivered within a global design firm.

Known for combining strategic vision with deep empathy, Sabharwal has built her career around solving complex challenges through innovation, collaboration, and people-centered leadership. She has championed standardized delivery models, technology integration, and AI-enabled workflows that are helping shape the future of healthcare and workplace design while improving efficiency, quality, and client experience.

Sabharwal ‘s leadership has been shaped as much by her life experiences as by her professional achievements. From the outset of her career, Sabharwal has been driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for solving complex challenges, and a commitment to building teams and systems that enable others to succeed. Those experiences continue to shape her leadership philosophy – one centered on empowering people, fostering trust, and helping individuals realize their full potential.

In 2025, Sabharwal officially launched Studio Vector as a recognized practice within Stantec. Under her leadership, the studio has grown into a high-performing team built on collaboration, mentorship, flexibility, and a culture where excellence and empathy go hand in hand. Passionate about developing future leaders, she founded the Design Exchange initiative, connecting students and emerging professionals with industry leaders through portfolio reviews, mock juries, and career development programming. She has also served as Chair of the Internation Interior Design Association’s Houston Leaders Breakfast and contributes to the profession through speaking engagements, including participating in a Women in Healthcare panel focused on leadership, innovation, and the future of the built environment.

Outside of her professional life, Sabharwal enjoys exploring the world with her husband and toddler son, discovering new restaurants throughout Houston, and opening her home to family and friends for elegant afternoon high teas. Whether mentoring a colleague, hosting loved ones, or traveling with her family, Sabharwal believes the most meaningful success comes from creating experiences, opportunities, and connections that leave a lasting impact on others.
